Twin pipe pairs the liquid line and suction line together in a single pre-insulated coil, so both lines are run and insulated in one action rather than fitting each line separately. It's supplied in 20m rolls.
Both are available on all our twin size combinations — which one you need depends on the installation. 9mm insulation is generally suited to standard residential installations, while 13mm is more commonly specified for commercial projects, where the extra thickness gives better thermal performance and helps prevent condensation on longer or more exposed pipe runs. Always check your project specification or Building Regulations requirements, and get in touch if you're unsure which is right for your job.
It depends on the unit. As a general guide: 1/4″ + 3/8″ suits small residential split systems, 1/4″ + 1/2″ suits mid-size air conditioners and heat pumps, 1/4″ + 5/8″ suits larger single-split or multi-split systems, and 3/8″ + 5/8″ suits higher-capacity commercial or multi-head heat pump units. Always check the manufacturer's installation guide to confirm, and get in touch if you're not sure.
